Robotic Automated Concrete Compression Testing System
The robotic concrete compression testing platform integrates a high-capacity hybrid electro-hydraulic compression frame with a 6-axis industrial robot, pneumatic gripper, conveyor modules, barcode identification, vision monitoring, dust-control units, and intelligent automation software. This end-to-end automated solution enables fully unattended handling and compressive-strength testing of concrete cubes, cylinders, and blocks, dramatically increasing laboratory throughput, improving repeatability, and enhancing operator safety.
A dedicated pneumatic gripper mounted on the 6-axis robot cooperates seamlessly with the servo-control architecture to complete all specimen loading and unloading tasks without manual intervention. The robot automatically executes tray positioning, specimen pickup, centering, alignment, and placement inside the compression frame. The compression tester features a high-rigidity load frame optimized using finite-element analysis (FEA) to ensure exceptional structural stiffness under high-force loading. The hybrid electro-hydraulic drive employs imported gear pumps and servo motors to deliver fast closed-loop force response, low noise, minimal heat generation, precise stress-rate control, and long-term operational reliability.
